依據(jù)故障現(xiàn)象的影響程度進(jìn)行分類，將故障現(xiàn)象分為獨(dú)立性故障與相關(guān)性故障，其中相關(guān)性故障指的是故障與其他故障類型存在關(guān)聯(lián)關(guān)系，實(shí)際表現(xiàn)為電腦主板各個(gè)功能的共同控制部分發(fā)生故障，如軟、硬板的子系統(tǒng)運(yùn)作異常，此種情況下，控制卡的功能控制呈現(xiàn)相對(duì)分離狀態(tài)，這種故障多發(fā)于主板外設(shè)數(shù)據(jù)傳輸?shù)目刂撇糠?。?dú)立性故障則是指主板當(dāng)中負(fù)責(zé)獨(dú)立運(yùn)行功能的芯片發(fā)生損壞造成的故障現(xiàn)象。 [5] 
（4）依據(jù)故障源類型進(jìn)行分類，將故障現(xiàn)象分為總線故障、元器件故障以及電源故障等，其中總線故障指的是總線的控制權(quán)發(fā)生故障，或總線本身發(fā)生故障。元器件故障則是指主板的繼承電路芯片與電容電阻等各類元器件發(fā)生故障。電源故障則是指主板的 +3.3 V、+5 V、+12 V 電源與PowerGood 的信號(hào)發(fā)生故障。
