3500 Mechanical Protection System Speed Monitor

The TACH100 digital tachometer can be used as an independent speed indicator or as a remote speed indicator in conjunction with any monitoring system installed by * * *. The compact device includes its own power supply, which is convenient when it is necessary to install a * * * monitoring system near or far from the machine to indicate speed. The digital tachometer provides local display to indicate the machine speed on the machine deck. When double ear protection is required, the digital tachometer will provide visual indication. The wires can be connected in parallel with the input of the keyphasor proximity probe on the display rack, or directly connected to the keyphasor proximity probe. TACH100 accepts the signal wire and common wire from the external power supply of the keyphase proximity probe.

Our 3500/25 Keyphasor Module provides phase reference information in the 3500 rack (up to four keyphasors can be used per 3500 rack), enabling advanced mechanical diagnosis. It receives input signals from proximity probes or magnetic pickups and converts pulse signals from one or multiple events per revolution into digital timing measurements. This allows your 3500 system to measure machine speed and vector parameters, such as 1X vibration amplitude and phase, which are key to determining important machine behavior. The 3500 system can be used as a SIL Level 2 system and has passed multiple hazardous area and country specific certifications, capable of handling any environment.

Our 3500/50M Tachometer Module has 2 channels that accept input from proximitor probes or magnetic pickups to measure shaft speed, rotor acceleration, or reverse rotation. The 3500/50M tachometer adjusts the input and compares the adjusted signal with user programmable settings that can drive alarms and relay logic in the 3500 relay module. The alarm options provided by the 3500 rack configuration software include speed band, zero speed, rotor acceleration, and reverse rotation. Keyphasor and speed measurement are also part of the Bentley Nevada Turbine Supervisory Instrument (TSI) turbine sensor kit. The 3500 system can be used as a SIL 2 rated system and has approvals for multiple hazardous areas and specific countries/regions. External terminal and internal barrier versions are also available. Not applicable for overspeed detection.
